You can start this route at either end, or make it into a circular route using a variety of possible variations.
Starting in Birnam, go under the A9 trunk road and railway, then follow the path alongside the Inchewan Burn as it winds its way up Birnam Glen. A variety of possible routes is well signposted.
Look out for the remains of one of Highland Perthshire’s lost villages.
