Our Aims and Objectives are:

• Promote quality standards throughout the Dunkeld & Birnam area
• Promote the protection of Dunkeld & Birnam’s cultural and natural heritage
• Represent the interests of tourism in Dunkeld & Birnam in appropriate local, regional and national forums
• Encourage and facilitate joint working between tourism businesses and organisations in Dunkeld & Birnam
• Undertake marketing activities that promote Dunkeld & Birnam as a tourist destination
• Organise & Support events that attract additional tourists to Dunkeld & Birnam

The membership runs from January to December.

The day to day business of the Association is managed by the Management Committee. This includes:

• Promoting Dunkeld and Birnam as a destination to visitors
• Running the DBTA Website
• Collecting & managing the funds
• Working in co-operation with local and national organisations whose objectives are the   advancement of tourism and tourist amenities e.g. Visit Scotland, Perth Tourism Partnership, Scottish Tourism Alliance, Perth & Kinross Council and other tourist associations
• Arranging members networking events and workshops
• Attracting funding for a variety of projects from marketing and PR to digital enterprise – eg. Funding for additional village Christmas trees
• Working in partnership with Dunkeld & Birnam Events Committee & Highland Perthshire Tourism Liaison Group
• Producing regular e-newsletter updates for members
• Working with local businesses and groups to develop a program to deliver all of the above

If you are an individual or a small business that is not tourism related but you would like to support DBTA then this is the package for you.

• Training and networking events
• Local tourism, business and industry updates through monthly e-newsletter
• Access to visitor and business research
